How to Wash Tie-Dye Clothing | Mixed Results
Care Instructions
Taking care of your tie-dye is simple. These pieces are made to be worn, washed, and enjoyed — not treated like fragile art.
First Wash
For the first wash:
- Wash cold
- Wash with similar colours
- Turn the garment inside out
Each piece is rinsed thoroughly after dyeing, but a small amount of residual dye may remain. This is normal.
Regular Washing
After the first wash:
- Wash cold or warm
- Use a mild detergent
- Wash with similar colours
Avoid bleach or harsh detergents, as they can affect colour over time.
Drying
- Hang dry for best results
- Or tumble dry on low
High heat over time can dull colours slightly.
Quick Care Guide
- Wash cold, inside out
- Use mild detergent
- Avoid bleach
- Dry low or hang
What to Expect
These pieces are dyed using fibre reactive dyes that bond permanently with the fabric.
- Colours are designed to last
- Minimal fading with proper care
- Each piece will age naturally over time
Made to Be Worn
This isn’t delicate clothing.
With basic care, your piece will stay vibrant, soft, and comfortable — and only get better with wear.
