Our Hand-Dyed Process
Every shirt starts as a blank canvas — then the transformation begins.
We use a combination of traditional tie-dye, shibori techniques, and modern methods like geodes, spirals, ice dyeing, and freeform designs.
Each piece goes through a multi-step process:
- Preparation: Garments are washed and treated with soda ash to allow dye to bond permanently.
- Folding & Binding: Techniques like spirals, geodes, and shibori resist methods shape the final pattern.
- Dye Application: Colours are layered using liquid and ice dye techniques.
- Curing: Pieces batch for 12–24 hours to develop strong, vibrant colour.
- Rinsing & Finishing: Each item is rinsed, washed, and finished by hand.
Because everything is done manually, variations are not flaws — they’re signatures.

Colourfastness & Dyes
We use professional-grade fibre reactive dyes (Procion MX) — the gold standard for dyeing natural fibres like cotton.
Unlike basic dyes, these form a permanent bond with the fabric.
That means the colour becomes part of the garment — not just something applied to it.
